DC/DC On Board Type (Module Potted)

Potted on-board converters are encapsulated modules that solder to a printed circuit board and supply one or more regulated DC voltages from the board's input rail. The encapsulation protects the internal components and improves heat spreading, which is why this construction is common where vibration, humidity or a compact layout are concerns.

Match the input voltage range to the rail on the host board and the output voltage and current to the circuit being fed, then confirm the package footprint and pin-out, the isolation rating if the output must be isolated, and the derating at the ambient temperature inside the equipment.
